The Green Cross -- A Little History Empty The Green Cross -- A Little History

The Green Cross was formed by a close circle of friends over 5 years ago,  back in March of 2008.  We trained, we ran missions,  we started to learn EVE and in a few months, we joined our first alliance called the Covenant Alliance.  We ventured for the first time in 0.0 to the region of Deklein.  The adventure lasted but a few weeks, got kicked out by Tau Ceti and the alliance was without a home.  We left Covenant for a bigger alliance, Dara Cothrom,  one who held sovereignty in many systems.  We took part in our first larger scale battles.  We fought many battles but in the end Mostly Harmless took over the region and TGC was standing at a crossroad.  We had a choice to dissolve TGC and meld into MH corps  or keep it going and leave.  Some members decided to move on but the rest of TGC decided to keep our heads high,  learn from all of it and went back to Empire to rebuild.  We moved around a bit, trying NPC nulsec, joined and left a couple of alliances but then found ourselves in 0.0 back in Deklein joining a small alliance.  TGC added more members and for the first time felt significant member of an alliance by holding their (and our) first jump bridge.   Diplomatic issues between the major alliances and ours forced us to leave and soon after TGC found its niche.  We then found ourselves part of the Northern Coalition fighting many grand wars.  There were some fun and spectacular times.  But as with life, nothing stayed the same.  The Northern Coalition lost its way and crumbled.  No more BFF spam in channels.  We liked the alliance we were in and followed them across New Eden into Tenerifis.  TGC found itself the proud owners of its first outpost.  The cycle of EVE prevailed,  nothing stayed the same for long, and the alliance we were in folded,  with our options limited,  we  moved alliances, travelled across New Eden once again and found ourselves in Querious.  The ISK making was great there.  Being next door to delve,  the peace did not last long at all.  TEST moved in,  the alliance crumbled once again and TGC was faced with the same dilemma.  TGC called to its members  and decided to try something different.  Instead of the daily mass fleets and CTA after CTA, we decided to cross the galaxy yet again but into the quiet, out of way Drone Regions.   It was a far cry from being on front lines.  It was quiet but the members made tons of ISK there.  We enjoyed ourselves by going on corp sponsored  frigate roams, with the intentions of returning to our home systems in our pods Smile.   Things were all good for some months but as in all things,  the area became unstable and we were forced to leave the area.  For a short time after we returned to Angel territory but the steam was gone.  Many of our PVP members decided to move on and pursue their dreams elsewhere.   We left for Empire once again.  It was a great first 5 years in TGC.  We saw lots of the galaxy.  We made lots of friends, and some enemies.   So here we are again.  In the cycle of EVE, ready to exhale again, rebuild  and venture into our next Lustrum.

Would you like to be part of TGC?  We are an easy going corporation.  We PVE, we mine, we explore, we trade,  but firstly, we all PVP.  TGC has collected over 13,000 kills, caused over 3 trillion ISK in damages and has an overall modest efficiency of 89%.  We are looking for all types of players,  experienced players,  those who can fc or new and wish to learn.  We also looking for newer players who would like to experience the things we did years ago.  Even if you are a pure industrialist, we expect you to PVP.  You can be an effective part of a fleet with just a few days of proper skill training.  What we expect of you is that you are not afraid to die.  Everybody dies in New Eden and it is merely a component of the EVE experience.  As long as you prepare yourself properly,  a mere podding of your clone is nothing compared to the fun, such as a frigate roam, can accomplish.  TGC is back in nullsec with a small alliance.  We are currently engaging in small to med gang warfare, and wallet fattening, so if this sounds like something you may be interested in,  drop on by our public channel TGC (The Green Cross).
